A brand-new NBA uniform from Nike was unveiled on Saturday, but it won’t be the last.
This is because the NBA is planning to debut a brand-fresh uniform for the 2016-17 season, as the league has done since the 2015-16 season.
The new Nike uniforms will be used by the Atlanta Hawks, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Pelicans, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns, Portland Trail Blazers, Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors, Utah Jazz, Washington Wizards, and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Nike uniforms are scheduled to go on sale for the 2017-18 season on February 2, 2018.
The new uniform is a blend of Nike’s NBA 2K16 and NBA 2X games, which feature new graphics and gameplay, including new ball animations, a new player model, and an updated look for the league’s uniforms.
This new uniform will feature the league-wide design language, and will be the first uniform to feature a custom-made collar, as well as a custom crest.
Nike’s new uniform, which will be officially unveiled at the end of February, will include a new look for NBA 2XX, which includes updated graphics and a new play-by-play voice.
The new uniforms will debut with the Atlanta-based Hawks on March 1, but there is no word yet on whether the uniforms will hit stores until after the 2017 NBA Finals.
NBA 2X17 will be released on March 19.
