In the late 1990s, the NFL was already wearing a few new uniform trends, but the style continued to evolve throughout the decade.
The first big innovation to hit the NFL uniform was the NFL Socks, a line of Nike-branded shorts, which debuted in 1992.
Sockheads were a growing subset of fans that would come to the stadium during the Super Bowl, wearing a series of white socks over a blue, navy-and-white shirt.
“Sockhead” was a nod to the ’90th century, a time when people would wear their socks to the beach and on a cold winter day, rather than wearing them for warm weather.
A similar trend appeared in the NHL, when teams began wearing a black, knit-jersey-like uniform in the mid-1990s.
In 2000, the NHL instituted a new uniform that debuted in 2002 called the NHL Sweatshirt.
It was a black knit sweater with a black stripe on the chest and a white collar, complete with a hockey logo on the front and a collar on the back.
This uniform was more of a throwback to the old NHL sweaters that players wore in the ’70s, than a modern NFL uniform.
But the trend did not die out, as other new NFL uniforms started popping up in the 2000s.
The NHL also began incorporating a few of the NFL’s other old uniforms into its uniform offerings, like the white pants, white shirts and white shorts, with the addition of white piping on the sleeves and collar.
By 2005, NFL teams began adding a new set of NFL themed jerseys, which included the new “Sockback” uniforms, the Steelers Blackout and the Bengals Whiteout.
These jerseys were designed by designer Jason Zengerle, who worked on the Jets Black Out.
His idea for the jerseys came about in 2002, when he was watching his son’s football game, and realized that the team had an NFL themed jersey on the sidelines.
As a fan, Zengerles goal was to make a uniform that looked like his son had won the game.
So Zengerlets son created a design that resembled a white shirt with a white stripes on the collar, white socks, white shorts and a black jersey.
After designing the uniforms, Zengers son then sent it to Nike, who brought in a designer from Nike to create the “Socks.”
Nike designed the jerseys in a black-and/or black- and white color palette, which is the color palette that the NFL used during the 1990s.
The jersey has a unique look that complements the white jersey.
The NFL’s uniform designs are often inspired by their players, with designs that have an air of mystery or are just fun.
Niners jersey is the most popular of the new NFL jerseys, with almost 1.2 million sold since its debut in the fall of 2015.
